Youth & Dreams

No power on this earth can separate dreams from youth. Every young person is full of dreams and a vision for life. They have some aspirations for themselves, they live those aspirations and take steps to fulfill them. It is necessary as well. But always remember, a vision shall not remain a vision only. Youngsters must protect their dream-like an exotic plant.

They should water it and add fertilizers to it regularly so that it can take the shape of a big tree under which they can live with peace and comfort.

Primarily, as a youngster, you must understand the value of life and your own worth. You should learn how to love yourself and understand the true purpose of your life. Have a vision and aspire to be victorious in life but you must know how to realize that vision.

You can tap on your ‘mind power’ to achieve your dreams.

Your Mind is not less than a Factory

If you want to reach an acclaimed position in life, then understand that your factory and workshop are your minds. This ‘Machine of Ideas’ will provide you with everything you want, including a dream, vision, goal, wealth, fame, and a respected position in life. In order to use your mind, be knowledgeable first. Your knowledge is your greatest wealth. It cannot be usurped by anyone. You can gain recognition in any part of the world due to your knowledge. Use it to shape your destiny.

So, when you are pursuing your studies, or sports or higher education, actually you are creating your destiny while accumulating the wealth of knowledge. Now your happiness would depend upon your seriousness and integrity.

Fickle attractions will always be around you. Never get distracted by them else you’ll lose the true and worthwhile wealth that will transform your life.

Make a Goal & Befriend it

As a young person, you are responsible for family-building as well as nation-building. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, first, establish goals. Setting goals would help nurture new skills in you. Goalsetting helps you in following a focused path in life.

You can start by picking a single aim for yourself. Thrust all your energy here, learn how to love it, dream about it, and start living it, you’ll move on the right path eventually.

Be Inspired

While it’s not advisable to copy others yet you can always look upon those who have achieved something in life. Adopt an ideal or a role model in life. It is necessary to be inspired by others; learn how they persevered and earned names and fame in the world.

Consider one super-achiever as your inspiration and keep that person in your mind.

How does it help?

It will help when in the course of your struggle you’ll feel your energy is getting low. In such situations, your inspiration will keep the hunger for success alive in you. Your inspiration keeps your dreams alive. So, be inspired.

Be Consistent

No matter how talented you are or how resourceful you are, if you are not consistent, you can never realize your vision. That age-old story ‘The Hare & the Tortoise’ is still relevant here. A consistent tortoise is better than a fast hare who, after a short sprint gets tired and falls behind.

If someone is very talented but lazy, whose mind gets distracted easily, that person can’t reach the goal, however, a less talented person hits the target just due to consistent performance and hard work.

So the message is- Try again! Try again! Try again!

Apply Fortitude

Most importantly, whatever your vision is, never let inferiority complex sneak in. You won’t be able to rise if you feel bad and get demotivated due to other people’s viewpoints.

As Mahatma Gandhi said- “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win”. This will happen if you move consistently towards your aim. People will be jealous of you, they will hate you, they will reject you, they will never support you, but despite all, if you become successful, the same people will clap for you and emulate you.

This is your ultimate victory and this victory should be your highest purpose.

So, as a young person, never feel demotivated and inferior, keep moving forward consistently. The world is waiting to praise your efforts.
