Find Your Inner Bliss

Unlock Your Hidden Bliss Through Meditation

God wants all His creations, including human beings, to remain in a blissful state forever. But what it’s like to be in such a state?

Bliss is a state of happiness that shows you are at peace with everything around you and which cannot be found in the physical plane of life. At the physical level, you relate everything only with what is visible and so your happiness becomes a slave of circumstances. You feel a wave of happiness when you achieve a certain materialistic goal.

But when things do not move according to your wishes, or you fail to achieve something in life, you become sad. You constantly strive to change your circumstances so that you can find happiness again.

This cycle of happiness and pain is the reason behind your internal conflicts and sadness. How to get out of this cycle?

Find Your Inner Bliss

To come out of the cycle of opposites, you should endeavor to find happiness independent of all circumstances. Happiness is not a commodity that can be purchased with wealth. It resides in the deep layer of consciousness within everyone. It is independent of any action or inaction.  All one must do is to understand the true meaning of happiness and the path to follow towards it.

Meditation is one such path and it enables one to experience eternal bliss commonly, everlasting happiness. You may experience this bliss every time you meditate. With routine practice, you will be able to discover that layer of consciousness within you.

Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with full awareness is meditation. Watching your breath is meditation. Listening to the birds is meditation. If these activities are free from any other distractions to the mind, it is effective meditation. Meditation describes a state of consciousness when the mind is free of scattered thoughts and various patterns. True meditation is a state of profound, deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely alert. This is just the beginning of an inner transformation that takes us to a higher level of awareness. That is the step towards meditation.

Meditation can be done with eyes closed and gazing at the third eye point [ajna] right in between the eyebrows or with the eyes 9/10 closed but very slightly open [“sleepy eyes”] gazing at the tip of the nose. The fixed gaze stimulates the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland and brings the brain into the alpha rhythm [relaxed but alert state] to allow yourself to let go and become absorbed into concentration. You can even meditate with your eyes open, staring at a single point such as a candle or a mandala.

Believe that God Does not Want You to Suffer

Do you think of yourself as the greatest sufferer in this world? Well, do not think so! Change your mindset now because God did not send you to suffer. He sent you to be happy, be wise, and love all. Realize that suffering is optional. It may be difficult to change the circumstances sometimes, but you have an option to cope with them in a positive or negative manner. When you change your mindset, your thought process, and your perspective of things, change is inevitable, and that too in your favor.  By recognizing every small possession in life as a gift of God, you can feel grateful towards God and feel more blessed than others. This attitude of gratitude will establish an environment of bliss within.

You should also remind yourself of the eternal truth that your true nature is happiness and not suffering. Meditation makes you reach that level of consciousness that is beyond all worry, all fear, all pain, and all suffering.

Do not ever let the roots of inner bliss go dry and wither away for nothing. Bliss is the root, your mind is the flowerpot, meditation and positivity are the water and manure. Always grow beautiful flowers in your mind through meditation, flowers that spread sweet fragrance, and these flowers of happiness will bring the ultimate bliss in your life.
